Round 18 has again crept up on us and the season for some is over, the club has had mixed results in some section but these teams are already looking towards next years finals. With the club fielding 33 teams eligible to play finals, we had 18 teams playing in semi finals last week.
10 Junior sides of which 8 play Grand Finals this week-end, please support them if possible. 4 Veterans sides, D grade has made it to the finals next Monday and our 50’s A & B both play preliminary finals at FHC this Wednesday night, E grade lost 3 – 2 on Monday to Camberwell. 1 Mens Pennant C side that play their Prelim. This Saturday @ 2pm SNHC. 3 Ladies sides, 3 Nth made the Grand Final, 4 Nth play Swinburne at H1 12 noon Saturday and 2 Nth lost to Pegs 3 -2.
That’s over 50% of our teams that made finals with our Juniors leading the way, as a club member no matter were your particular team ended up this year you must be proud.
Round 18 also seen Danny run a HUGE spit roast night with 160+ members turning up to enjoy the festivities, good food, live music made for a very good night. Congratulations to Danny and his Helpers. With the club celebrating it’s 75th year next year a Committee is already working on a programme of events to make it a year to remember, any idea’s that you may have can be given to myself, Nicole, Danny, Tom E, Tom G, Greg H, R.J., Karen J., Kevin, Heather or Rico.
