Well the votes have be tallied and the people have spoken. The new shirt was announced at this years AMG and with 60% of the votes here is the new shirt voted by you!
We are currently going through samples with our supplier and look forward to a production run soon. We have 2 years to phase the shirt in so while we plan for the top few teams to start with the shirt straight away some of the Junior and lower grades may still use the original shirt for at least one more season.
The official away shirt will be our existng white shirt.
- Purchase of the new uniform (shirt & shorts/skort/skirt) will be compulsory for all senior Men, Women and Vets in 2009
- Junior Section is allowed 2 years to phase in the new uniform under the direction of Brendan Sheehan. i.e If an entire team is able and happy to purchase the new shirt + shorts/skort/skirt (i.e U17’s team may choose to wear new uniform as most players will probably already have one to play seniors) then they may do so. HV requires each junior team to wear the same colour shirt (i.e entire team wears current white shirt or the entire team wears the new shirt.)
- All ladies and junior girls (junior girls have 2 year phase in) must wear a skirt or a skort (skort is a skirt with built in bike shorts)
- Royal blue socks are the same
- In February next year and throughout pre-season there will be numerous “Uniform Fitting” nights for members to try on sizes and place orders.
- The FHC white shirt will become our alternate strip (there will be some spare alternate shirts for new members)
Prices are still being confirmed so the following is approximate costs. If you purchase both shirt and shorts/skort/skirt, FHC will provide a $10 subsidy for one year only.

Shorts apx $35 Shirt + Shorts apx $60
Skirt apx $35 Shirt + Skirt apx $60
Skort apx $50 Shirt + Skort apx $75
The Uniform Committee is still working with our supplier to see if they will provide a cheaper price for junior sizes.
