The Footscray Hockey Club Women’s Section first began in 1936. In 2012 we are 10 teams strong and after a tremendous 2011 season which saw our top 4 ladies teams gaining promotion, the girls are rearing to make the 2012 year an even bigger success. One of the most momentous achievements is the promotion into State League 1 (the women’s division last had a Premier grade team over 30 years ago)
The ladies coaching panel has prioritisde the development of young players into senior grade teams. We have again secured the coaching services Luke Michael. Pennant B Trudy Hairs, Pennant C Ryan Tout, Pennant D T.B.A, Metro 2 North Lynda Thomas. Coaches will be sought for M2S, M3N, M3S, M4N Blue, M4N Red
The ladies section would not run so efficiently without the support of volunteers and I would appreciate any support you can give this year.
